Rang 2024
Rang is an annual Art competition organised by Art Journal Foundation that aims at fostering creative aptitude and enthusiasm amongst young scholars.
Art Journal Foundation is a creative platform by Elevating Arts Private Limited that supports the process, practice, and education in Arts and Culture.
We are committed to develop a resource platform that shall be useful in enhancing and encouraging creativity, critical investigations, explorations, and experiments.
AJF aims to be the premier destination for artists to immerse in the creative process and develop skills.
Categories:
- A: Grades 1, 2 and 3
- B: Grades 4 and 5
- C: Grades 6, 7 and 8
- D: Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12
Theme: Celebrating Diversity
Diversity means all the amazing things that make us different! It's about our backgrounds, cultures, families, abilities, interests, and so much more. It's like a beautiful garden full of different flowers, each one unique and adding its own special colour.
Think about all the ways we celebrate diversity in the world around us.
Create a conceptually rich piece of art that shows the beauty of diversity, while you explore a variety of artistic techniques, styles, and mediums.
Registration Fees:
- For students in India: 120 INR
- For students in UAE: 20 AED
- For students in any other country: 10 USD
Prizes:
- Two winners from each category will be awarded trophies.
- All winners and participants will get eCertificates.
Instructions:
- 1. Each participant is allowed to submit ONLY one entry for Rang.
- 2. The artwork may be created using any medium and in any size (Digital artwork not accepted - Check ‘Drishya’ category).
- 3. Students must follow the given theme and create original artwork.
Submission Guidelines:
- 1. Submit a good resolution picture of the artwork as a JPEG/ JPG/ PNG file (300 DPI).
- 2. Maximum file size – 5MB, to be uploaded on the submission link, that will be received on your registered mail ID.
- 3. Label your artwork and name the image file with your name and category for clear identification.
For example: Nameofthestudent_CategoryName_Rang.jpeg
Criteria for Judgement:
The artwork will be judged based on the following criteria:
1. Interpretation of the Theme: How well does the artwork capture the essence of "Celebrating Diversity"? Does it present a unique and meaningful perspective on the theme?
2. Artistic Skill and Technique: Does the artwork demonstrate a strong command of artistic elements, skills and techniques.
3. Creativity and Originality: Does the artwork showcase innovative thinking and a fresh approach to the theme? Is it visually striking and unique?
4. Conceptual Depth: How effectively does the artwork convey a deeper meaning or message about diversity? Does it provoke thought and inspire discussion?
5. Visual Impact: Does the artwork have a strong visual presence? Does it engage the viewer and create an emotional response?
